NOW ENTERING THE ZAC ZONE!
What is the ZAC zone? It is an area where our Zero Accident Culture is in effect. At Challenge Unlimited, our workplace safety program begins with the premise that workplace injuries are not acceptable.
Our Zero Accident Culture begins with a multi-faceted safety program designed to install a sense of responsibility for safety in everyone we employ and serve. The first step of the program begins when employees and persons receiving services (PRS) are introduced to the Zero Accident Culture and ZAC, our safety mascot, on their first day with the company during orientation.

An integral part of our Zero Accident Culture is the Good Catch Program. Employees and PRS are encouraged to spot hazards not only in the workplace, but at home and out in the community as well. These “Good Catches” are turned in to the supervisor and are compiled in a database. The program teaches the worker how to spot an unsafe situation before an injury occurs, therefore reducing work-related injuries and increasing productivity. Working together, the employee and their supervisor devise a plan to correct the situation. They must also make a plan to prevent the hazard from reoccurring. At the end of each month, the Good Catch Committee reviews all of the submissions for that month and selects anywhere from 10 to 30 catches that qualify as “Outstanding Good Catches”. An Outstanding Good Catch is one that prevents a serious injury, death, and/or fire. A worker who’s Good Catch is selected is given the choice of one out of four $10 gift cards or they can choose to receive a fishing pole kit.
